Missions and Service

Since the beginning, BBC has taken seriously Christ's call to serve those around us. Below you can read about some of our regular missions and service ministries and how you can get involved!

BBC Food Pantry

Available at our church office every Tuesday from 1:00-3:00 PM. Thanks to the donations of church members, we are able to provide food and toiletry items to those in need.

How Can I Help?
You can donate items to the Food Pantry at any time, or as part of 'Second Sunday Stock-Up' every Second Sunday (bring items and place them at the front in either service).

You can also donate monetarily to the Food Pantry. Click here to go to our giving page. Once there, choose 'Food Pantry' under 'Designated Giving.'

You can also bring a monetary donation by the church office or put one in the offering plate/baskets on Sundays.

Backpack Buddies

70% of students at Benson Elementary School live at, or below, the poverty line. Due to this some of them go home not sure of what they'll eat on the weekends when free and reduced lunch is not available. Backpack Buddies seeks to help through the provision of bags of snacks and other staples that are provided by BBC, and distributed by BES every Friday.

How Can I Help?
Backpack Buddies is fully supported by giving at BBC. You can support this ministry by giving toward local missions on our giving page.

Benevolence

The stability of today is not promised tomorrow and many in our community find themselves with a lost job, change in residence, issues with children, or many other difficult situations.

Our Benevolence ministry helps meet people where they are through the provision of rental assistance, fuel provision, bill payment, and much more.

How Can I Help?
You can donate directly to our benevolence ministries under 'designated giving' on our giving page.

Christmas Missions

In November and December there are two great ways to serve our community and beyond.

Angel Tree - Buy gifts from a wish/need list from kids who live right in Johnston County.

How Can I Help?
Look for the Angel Tree each November and grab a tag!
