How Can I Help in Ukraine?

The first thing you can do is PRAY. Prayer is an important part of how we seek the guidance and presence of Christ in the lives of those affected by the war in Ukraine.

The second thing you can do is support the people and needs of Ukraine through FINANCIAL SUPPORT.

Funds donated through Benson Baptist's Lenten Special Offering for Ukraine will go toward a fund developed by our denominational partners at the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship to support the people of Ukraine in two ways:
  • By supporting those connected to the Village of Hope ministry in Kiev, Ukraine. The Ukrainian Christian Cooperation Center, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of North Carolina and Stitching Little John from the Netherlands, came together to establish the the ministry in 2003.  Village of Hope specifically works with urban/poverty/street-children and children at risk ministries and exists in buildings located on a 17 acre camp in Kiev, Ukraine. A missions group from Benson Baptist went to Ukraine and served with Village of Hope in 2011 (pictured).

  • By supporting the Baptist World Alliance Fund for Aid Development (global disaster relief funding). The Baptist World Alliance is a gathering of Baptists from across the globe. Their Fund for Aid Development supports nations facing disaster on a variety of fronts. Funds given through Benson Baptist's special offering will go toward the support and rebuilding needed in Ukraine.
